Singles are welcome on every tour we offer on this site.
Tour companies generally require solo
travelers to pay a single supplement for a private room, and those
rates are listed for each tour. Some companies help solo travelers
avoid the single supplement by offering a singles share program, where
participants are matched with a roommate of the same gender. Details
of singles policies for each of our tour operators are listed below.

Abercrombie & Kent (Deluxe)
Abercrombie & Kent will make every effort to arrange shared
accommodations for single travelers when requested to do so. If the
request cannot be honored, a single supplement will apply.
Adventures by Disney (Deluxe Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. There is no single share program available.
African Travel (Deluxe)
Upon request, African Travel will make every effort to arrange shared
accommodations for single travelers. If the request cannot be honored,
a single supplement will apply.
AmaWaterways (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
American Cruise Lines (First Class)
Single travelers pay 150 to 175% of the double occupancy rate, depending on the type of stateroom.
Avalon Waterways (First Class)
Avalon Waterways will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender in
select cabin categories. The share program is not available on all river cruises.
Single travelers who do not wish to share a cabin will pay the single supplement.
Blount Small Ship Adventures (Deluxe)
Blount offers a limited selection of cabins for single occupancy. Single travelers also have the option of paying a
single supplement rate of 175% the double occupancy rate. A "Willing to Share" program is offered for people willing
to be paired with a same-gender traveling companion; if no companion can be found, you will be placed alone in a double
occupancy cabin.
Brendan (First Class)
Brendan does not accept single reservations on a "share" basis.
Single rooms are available on most tours for a supplemental cost. If you
do pay for a single supplement, please be aware that some hotels are
occasionally unable to provide all the types of rooms Brendan requests.
In this rare event, you will be asked to share a room with a tour member
of the same gender. Your Tour Director will issue the appropriate refund
immediately.
Celebrity Cruises (Deluxe)
Single travelers pay a single supplement, generally 200% of the cruise rate.
CIE Tours (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement.
Collette (Deluxe)
Single guests who are willing to share accommodations with another
participant must advise Collette at the time of booking. The single
supplement is charged initially. If, two weeks prior to the day of
departure, another guest is willing to share accommodations, the
single supplement will be refunded. "Shares" cannot be guaranteed.
Contiki (Budget)
Contiki will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender.
Single travelers who do not wish to share a room will pay the single supplement.
Cosmos (Budget)
For most tours, Cosmos will match single travelers with a roommate of the
same gender, if requested. This share program is not available on some
tours. Single travelers who do not wish to share a room will pay the
single supplement.
Discovery Adventures (1st Class)
Most tours do not have a single supplement. Accommodation is twin share; if you are traveling on your own,
you will be sharing a room with another Discovery Adventures traveler of the same sex. Some tours offer a
private room for an optional single supplement while others do have a mandatory single supplement.
G Adventures (First Class)
Most of G Adventures' trips do not have a single supplement. This means that the
accommodation is on a twin share basis and, if you are traveling on your
own, you will be sharing a room with another G Adventures traveler of the same sex.
Some tours, however, have an optional single supplement or occasionally a
mandatory single supplement. You can ask your travel counselor about this
when you inquire about the tour you are interested in taking.
Gate 1 Travel (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
General Tours (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
Globus (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
Great American Steamboat Company (Deluxe)
A limited number of single occupancy cabins are available. Alternatively, guests may pay a single supplement of 200% of the published stateroom fare, based on availability.
Hurtigruten Cruises (Deluxe)
There is a limited selection of cabins available for single occupancy. A single
supplement charge is applied in high season only, and has been eliminated for select
cabin categories in shoulder and off-season (January through April and September through
December). A single share program is not offered.
Insight (Deluxe)
Insight will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender. Single
travelers who do not wish to share a room will pay the single supplement.
Intrepid Travel (Budget)
Most Intrepid Travel trips do not have a single supplement. This means that the accommodation is on a
twin share basis and, if you are traveling on your own, you will be sharing a room with another traveler of the same sex.
Some tours, however, have an optional single supplement or occasionally a mandatory single supplement.
You can ask your travel counselor about this when you inquire about the tour you are interested in taking.
Lindblad Expeditions (Deluxe)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. There is no single share program available.
Monograms (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
Orion Expedition Cruises (Deluxe)
Single travelers pay a single supplement.
Pacific Delight Tours (Deluxe)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
Perillo Tours (Deluxe)
A limited number of single rooms are available at the supplement rate shown for each tour. Perillo does not offer a share program.
Rocky Mountaineer Vacations (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
Scenic Tours (Deluxe)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. There is no single share program available.
SeaDream Yacht Club (Deluxe)
Single travelers pay 150-175% of the double occupancy rate. There are no single occupancy cabins.
Silversea (Deluxe)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
SITA Tours (Deluxe)
A Tour member occupying a single room, either by choice or by circumstance, will
pay the single room supplement. Quoted single room rate does not necessarily mean
single occupancy of a double room, as some of the establishments featured in this
web site have especially designed single occupancy units.

Star Clippers (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
Tauck (Deluxe)
Reservations are accepted as "single share if possible." The single
supplement is charged initially; upon departure, if another guest is willing
to share accommodations, the single supplement will be refunded.
Trafalgar (First Class)
